Europe's most saturated grid.
134 Dutch data centers, power 21× more carbon-intensive than France. The grid is guilty on a single pillar — but this report is being rewritten: the national Seveso register has since moved part of the grades, including the two A grades it announced.
What holds: 105 of 134 sites are saturated or constrained on connection, Energy median 16.7 — the most loaded grid in our corpus. What the report claimed about the two Dutch A grades is corrected: a Seveso establishment sits within 2 km of each.
What's inside
- The map of 134 sites — the densest fleet in our corpus
- The grid guilty on a single pillar: 105/134 sites saturated or constrained, Energy median 16.7
- Water is bimodal: the 23 E grades on Water are exactly the 23 sites under stress (23/23)
- The proof ≠ rank counter-case (average filing → 7th) + Google's polder (Eemshaven E, Middenmeer D)
Report withdrawn from download
Report withdrawn from download on 7 October 2026, pending rewrite. Two Dutch sites carry an A grade in it: Eurofiber Alblasserdam and KPN Rotterdam. The national Seveso register (BRZO) has since established that a classified establishment sits within 2 km of each — 1.86 km and 1.94 km. Their site grade is B (65.1 out of 100), and no site in the corpus reaches A today.
